WORD PERVERSION - 4PM

4PM.
"Milk Shadow Books and Horror Sleaze and Trash are proud to announce the birth of "Word Perversion", the first in a series of live readings in the lower brow categories of literature. Featuring readings by James Andre from his book, "XXX Neon Sign" and Ben John Smith's new chap "Self Satirized Anxiety". Books for sale and signings, booze and entertainment. Nothing like a good word hoe down. Saturday 24th Sept, 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm, then bands The most awesome Pogues cover band, Streams Of Whiskey! And beer afterwards. Come down and get pissed, listen to funny stories, lose your phone, vomit a bit on your shirt and fight with your significant other for hitting on the bar staff (the @bendyho). Wake up in the morning and regret every thing you did the night before..... After a winter break, Streams of Whiskey are warming up their drinking-chords for a big night at The Bendigo Hotel Sat Sep 24th. Pogues covers are hard thing to get right and few bands dare go there but these guys have nailed the blend. Some Irish classics are thrown in the mix and the odd stomping traditional number ensure a rowdy night out. Featuring members of MYC, Mutiny and The Swedish Magazines. The more astute members of the audience, will notice that U.K. classical guitar-guru Sheldon King is up there strutting, cutting his wisdom teeth on the banjo. Opening the night will be young-gun Rowan Blackmore who somehow manages to play trumpet and raging accordion at the same time, whilst drinking lager and flexing his French. Get down early as it's looking like a full house.
