The last known photograph of sixteen-year-old Donny Govan, who disappeared from a campsite in Echuca, Australia, on September 1 2012.

Donny had been drinking with family and friend after a day of swimming when he suddenly became paranoid and lashing out at people. Initial attempts to calm him worked, but after more drinking and consuming cannabis Donny became agitated and ran off into the bush. His companions searched for him all night, but assumed he would sober up and come back within a day. They called the police when he failed to do so.
The Victorian police force organised an air search of the remote bushland and lonely country roads, but after thirty six hours their efforts yielded only one clue; a woman came forth and said a teenage boy matching Donny Govan’s description had knocked on her door early that morning and asked her politely if she could make him breakfast. As he ate, the boy mentioned to her that he wanted to go to nearby Bendigo, and set off again down the road after he left her porch. Apart from this one sighting, no sign of Donny Govan has been recovered. His sisters and friends keep a Facebook page for Donny that people can update with tips as to his fate.
