AFRICAN STILTWALKER TRIBE DISCOVERED

Scientists have made what they believe to be the most significant human discovery in centuries. A team travelling the interior of Mauritania on an unrelated issue made contact with a hitherto unknown tribe on the edge of the Sahara desert. Numbering no more than 80 individuals, they are said to walk exclusively on stilts from infant-hood onwards, due to the blistering heat of the sand underfoot, and the prevalence of the adansonia tree, the fruit of which grow around 15 to 20 feet off the ground and form the staple of the tribe’s diet
