The HST GIRLS section has always been about both the beauty of the female form and the artistic interpretation of the person behind the camera. In this case we have Miss Alex Arabia, a student from VCA who has artfully shot these self portraits and captured every element that HST strives to achieve; technically solid photos, interesting concepts and, of course, sexual liberation. I think this series of works is a great example of fem power exhibited in a place where this issue is often debated. And i think it stands beside all other HST GIRL shoots in its strength, liberalism, conceptual depth and beauty.
This is not face value imagery and every shot both tackles and relaxes in deep conclusion. The challenge is in which way you interpret these shots, which are left open yet still in your face. From cumming milk, cocks on computers and noir style pulp pin up shits, this series isnt just a new addition to the HST GIRLS section, it really is a movement in its self.
