Baymax is important in a lot of ways because he is identified as a male character. He’s a robot designed to care for others, to put others first. And in his most powerful form, when he’s been enabled to defend those he loves but also to acre for their physical and emotional needs, he is able to literally save the city and to sacrifice himself.
