The Greenock Catman - Some towns have their own stories of mysterious characters or even creatures that are mostly legends of folklore. One of these mysterious characters that seemingly does exist is the Greenock Catman - an obscure man that resides in Greenock, Scotland, whom is said to feast on rats. There have been numerous reports of sightings of this bizarre character. Some believe that he is some sort of cryptological beast while others believe it to be a prankster. In 2000, videos circulated of the so-called Catman which show that he is in fact a human being, although it seems likely that the video is the product of a prank. Rumour says that the elusive Catman is a Russian sailor that tragically had his legs broken by a local gang. He is said to now lurk around the alleyways, eating rats.
