After dropping a series of standalone tracks recently, Die Antwoord have today dropped their new mixtape Suck On This.

The South African rave rappers, who were last in Australia for Future Music Festival (R.I.P.), are still working on the official follow-up to 2014's Donker Mag, an album called We Have Candy.

However, as Ninja explains in a lengthy note (which you can read in full below), during the process he and ¥o-Landi Vi$$er were told about their producer about the benefits of the traditional mixtape. Ninja explains:

"About 2 months ago we found out that rappers in the USA usually drop a free mixtape for their fans before they drop their album. So we thought, 'Hey we wanna do that!'"

"[Producer] The Black Goat said that there are no rules to making a mixtape and that you can do whatever you want, which is our favourite style."

Suck On This features collaborations with The Black Goat and rapper God, as well as guest spots from model/burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese and Cypress Hill's DJ Muggs.

The 13-track project has nine new tracks - including the previously released 'Dazed & Confused', 'Bum Bum' and 'Gucci Coochie' - plus four remixes of older Die Antwoord tunes.
