AlithiA began writing album number 2 in March 2015. For 18 months we have been in the rehearsal room 2-3 nights a week as well as recording demos across 3 studios over the past 10 months. We have been committed without any time off to create this record. In the meantime all members of the band working day jobs alongside this process.

AlithiA
will record the new album in Greece, which is the country of origin of
the band's lead singer's family, John Rousvanis. AlithiA recorded the
first album 'To the Edge of Time' in Budapest, Hungary in 2012 and the
experience of being in a foreign country and opportunity to connect with
it's music scene and culture was an inspiring process for the band. We
are going to continue this tradition so that we can be in an environment
where we can be entirely focussed on the recording process without the
distraction of our every day lives and jobs. We will be documenting the
recording process and we hope to meet local musicians who may guest on
this record as we had on our last record 'To the Edge of Time'.
This
band is not a hobby for us, it's not something we do 'just for fun'.
This band represents our aspirations, our dreams and hopes, our desire
to create something that excites us and inspires others, a brotherhood
amongst ourselves, and a sense to be comfortable to create something
outside of the confines of the ordinary or the popular. We're not aiming
for radio play... we are striving to make a record that gives you the
sensation that you've never heard anything like this before. We all love
being in this band... we love creating this music and playing it live
and the 5 of us can clearly say that there is nothing else we'd rather
be doing than supporting each other to push our own boundaries.

"Drunk at the matinee" is a collection of candid poetry about stupid shit that we all experience from day to day.
