Death of Brandon Lee
On March 31, 1993, actor Brandon Lee, son of famous martial arts master Bruce Lee, was shot accidentally by his co-star Michael Massee during a scene of the then upcoming movie “ The Crow ”. Using a 44.Magnum for the scene, the gun was supposed to carry dummy rounds, however the live primer was left in place unintentionally, it got stuck and when the gun was later used in the scene with Lee the dummy round was shot with the force of an actual bullet because of the presence of the primer. Brandon Lee was taken to the New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina where he went through six hours of surgery. He did not survive.
