Peter Sutcliffe was an English serial killer who primarily targeted prostitutes. His MO was to cave his victims’ skulls in with a hammer, and then nonstop stab and slash at their already-dead bodies. Peter eventually confessed to the grisly attacks, and while in trial, claimed that he had heard the voice of God commanding him to rid the world of prostitutes, with several psychiatrists supporting Peter’s claim of insanity.
He would later say, ‘’They [the victims] are all in my brain, reminding me of the beast that I am. Just thinking of them reminds me what a monster I am. Still, the women I killed were filthy-bastard prostitutes who were littering the streets. I was just cleaning up the place a bit.’’
