Horror, Sleaze and Trash.

This seemingly innocuous picture shows John Lennon signing an album for a fan by the name of Mark David Chapman, who appears in the photograph. Little did anyone know that this would be the last photo that would be taken of the musician, the fan was carrying a gun and planned on using it to kill John Lennon that night. He waited outside John’s apartment in NYC while reading The Catcher and the Rye to pass the time. When John finally arrived, Mark shot him four times in the back. Mark allegedly heard voices and had obsessive thoughts about killing the rock legend after John proclaimed that the Beatles were more popular than Jesus. Mark was sentenced to 20-years-to-life in prison and remains behind bars to this day.
