After her husband died in the early 1600s, Elizabeth’s sadistic brutalities grew much worse. She, along with the aid of her former nurse, abducted and killed even more peasants, often biting out chunks of their flesh and even forcing her victims to cook and eat their own flesh. Alternatively, she would freeze them, perform fatal surgeries on them, and many of her victims were subjected to sexual abuse. Since her family headed the local government, her crimes were ignored until 1610 when Elizabeth began plucking up victims among the daughters of local nobles. At this point in time, King Matthias finally stepped in and charged Elizabeth with 80 counts of murder. She was convicted, and spent the rest of her life confined to a room in the castle that only had slits for ventilation and the passing of food. She died four years later.

"Drunk at the matinee" is a collection of candid poetry about stupid shit that we all experience from day to day.
