This light bulb has been working continuously for 114 years. It was created by Adolphe Chailet, the competitor to Thomas Edison. It is located at Fire Station Number 6 in Livermore, California. It has survived earthquakes and changes in voltage yet still provides light. For some reason, people did not like his light bulbs and he went out of business.
My horrible typos and silly word slinging has been painstakingly edited by my good friend and fellow writer for HST, Ian Shearer; with special thanks to Mike Daily for being such a dude. This is not the collection of artists featured in HST over the past few months, this is a book i started long before the HST was even thought about.
