"To remember a place in time where common sense was present, and no intrusions from extremists were allowed, either right or left. Where a person was first recognized for their wisdom and wit, not their status. These were not shallow, but ordinary individuals, tied to the country by loyalty and kin. From days when a handshake was enough and most were "honest in their dealings with their fellow man." If not, justice was swift, always painful, and most times deserved."

"Drunk at the matinee" is a collection of candid poetry about stupid shit that we all experience from day to day.
